High Court sitting in Jos has refused to grant an application by a former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Obadiah Mailafia, seeking to stop the Nigeria Police Force from investigating him. The court dismissed the application on Tuesday. The application was brought before the court after the police invited Mailafia to its Abuja headquarters following a radio interview he granted in which he accused a northern governor of being a leader of Boko Haram.

  Stray Bullet Kills Middle-aged Man As Customs Officers Chase Suspected Smugglers In Ogun (Photos).  Middle-aged man identified as Atanda Idowu Moses has lost his life after he was killed by a stray bullet inside his shop at Oja Odan in Yewa South Local Government Area of Ogun State. It was learnt that the incident happened during a clash between men of the Nigeria Customs Service, Ogun Area Command and some hoodlums suspected to be smugglers on Saturday. Moses and one other were working in their workshop when they were hit by stray bullets fired while men of the NCS were chasing the suspected smugglers. However, the Spokesman of Customs Area Command I, Hameed Oloyede, who confirmed the incident on Monday, September 28, claimed that Moses died from a gunshot allegedly fired by the smugglers during the clash with the Customs officers. Nigeria Can’t Produce COVID-19 Vaccine – NCDC DG, Chikwe Ihekweazu.   The Director-General of Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), Chikwe Ihekweazu has disclosed that Nigeria does not have enough capacity for production of vaccines. Ihekweazu who made this known in a television programme in Abuja and also expressed optimism that the country will not lack access to vaccines when they are available. The NCDC DG revealed that most of the vaccines would have to be produced in India and other countries, but the country will leverage on its sophisticated distribution system through the National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA). Ihekweazu said; “ The most important thing in short-term goal for a vaccine is access. Police caught Couple And Two Others With Human Skull. Men of the Ogun State Police Command have arrested four persons for unlawfully been in possession of a human skull in Odogbolu, Odogbolu local government area of the state. The command Public Relations Officer, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, who disclosed this to newsmen in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital, said the suspects were arrested on Thursday 24th September 2020. The suspects, according to the statement are Muyideen Tolubi, Niyi Folorunso, Sonubi Taiwo, and Remilekun Folorunso were arrested following the information received by the police in Odogbolu division that some people were digging a grave with the aim of removing already buried corpse who was not in any way related to them.
